Ute Lake State Park The park is open to the public on a year-around basis seven days a week. Trained park personnel are on hand to answer questions, give helpful suggestions and serve as courteous and friendly hosts during your stay in the area. For your convenience there are picnic areas with showers, sanitary stations, modern restrooms, overnight camping areas, large docking areas, nature trails, biking, off road trails for 4 wheel drive RV's and ATV's.

Logan, NM - A trading point for ranchers on the Rock Island Railroad near the Canadian River. 24 miles northeast of Tucumcari, New Mexico. It was named for Captain H. Logan, a Texas ranger who had filed a claim on this site. Also on New Mexico 39 and US 54. Has had a post office since 1901. Logan was nearly a ghost town when Ute lake was built on the Canadian below where Ute creek joined it. Logan is now a fishing resort town.

Tucumcari, NM - a city rich in legend and history, rests next to the famous Tucumcari Mountain. "Rt. 66" runs through the city, inviting many travelers. Famous for the two lakes nearby, Ute Lake and Conchas Lake. Fishing and boating at its best.
