Lake Limestone Fishing Information |
|
Lake Limestone in Leon, Limestone and Robertson counties comprises all impounded waters of the Navasota River from the Lake Limestone dam upstream to the Fort Parker State Park Lake dam.
Types of Fish:
Largemouth bass, native, Florida Largemouth bass, Smallmouth bass, Channel catfish, Hybrid Striped bass, Blue Catfish, White Crappie, and a variety of smaller Sunfishes and other forage fish.
This reservoir provides a cooling plant for local electric generation plants. The water is slightly alkaline, moderately clear and the lake has an irregular shoreline, brush, timber, and aquatic plants which supply good fish habitat.
Good spinnerbait, crankbait, and Carolina-rig fishing can be found in areas of timber, creek channels, and grass. Brightly colored baits work best like fire tiger, white, and chartreuse as the lake is off-colored much of the year.
