Wolf Lake
Local Area Businesses

The focal point of the community, the Wolf Lake clubhouse, provides a strong communal atmosphere with social and recreational activities (pancake breakfast, annual picnic, swimming events, dinners, etc.) for seasonal or year-round members, both young and old. Certified personnel at the beach area provide swimming lessons. A caretaker lives on the premises year round. The theme of Wolf Lake is "Forever Wild".

The community consists of approximately 1700 wooded acres, and is home to about 225 families, most of which are seasonal residents. Homes within the community are all single family on lots ranging in size from one-third to one acre. Most of the homes are situated around the perimeter of the Lake. Wolf Lake was first developed over fifty years ago and future development of new homes is now limited to only a few previously approved building lots, thereby preserving the modest size and quality of the community.

The southern region of the Catskill Mountains offers a variety of shopping, restaurants, outstanding golf courses, and resort entertainment, all within a half-hour drive. A renowned year round harness racetrack, Monticello Raceway, 845-974-4100, is 5 minutes away, as well as world famous trout streams.

The original music festival in 1969, "Woodstock" site is in nearby Bethel, 10 minutes away.

Holiday Mountain Ski Area is 3 miles away. 12 slopes, 4 lifts. 845-796-3161.
