Running north to south along the Texas and Louisiana border on the Sabine River, Toledo Bend Reservoir is one of the largest bodies of water in the United States. The lake covers 185,000 acres, standing as the largest reservoir in Texas. The body of some of the lake is obstructed by numerous trees, stumps, and logs, thereby creating a great habitat for fish and wildlife. However, specific boat lanes have been cleared of such obstructions to allow for recreational watercraft. Surrounding Texas and Louisiana towns provide plentiful golfing resources, just a short drive from your lake-view cabin.
