Lake Dardanelle

Lake Dardanelle is a 34,000 acre reservoir of the Arkansas River.  It begins at Ozark-Jeta Taylor Dam and flows to the southeast 50 miles to Dardanelle Dam in some places reaching 2 miles wide.  There are numerous State Parks, Corps. of Engineer Parks, and public access locations around the lake which provide fishing, camping, boat access, hiking, etc.

Lake Dardanelle has been characterized as one of the richest fisheries in the United States.  Few bodies of water have as high a diversity of species.  Largemouth Bass are most likely the most sought after sport fish, but there are many more species to choose from.
